Lmao everyone hating on the guy like he's the only bad character here.
Not even the worst too, the prize is still Eri's which wants everyone to be around her and people have to act conveniently to her desires. Desires that she can't even understand, too.

Kyo is better w/o her for sure
He threw her around then pinned her down and forcibly kissed her, so yeah, on balance, I'd say he's behaved the worst so far.

That said, most of the hate is somehow still directed towards Eri, so....

EDIT:

And the fact that Eri got confessed by her friend in middle school and ended up getting bullied is not helping either.
The fact she got bullied for heterosexual crimes is SO funny, like I thought I misunderstood that part when I first read it suejsjsksnsj

Great, we finally reached this point! At last Eri is starting to see things clear and can finally move on, she set Kyo straight and made it clear who's her number one no matter how much time passes! Just a shame Kyo interrupted the confrontation. Btw, Fuyuki's face after that spicy bite was so adorable! And even more the last page :win:. A few chapters to reach the end, I simply love Shinoa. Btw @Moosan , if there's any other doubt regarding the text/translation write me a DM and I'll give you feedback, doing that here makes it difficult to track.

I feel a bit of sympathy for kyo. He loved eri for a long time and when she accepted his confession, even though she had conditions, it was a chance and he took it and ran with it. He realised she was slipping from his grip so he reacted by gripping harder. Passions collided and emotions flared so of course things got messy. It seems he’s going to cheat but was there really a relationship in the first place? Only in name imo.
Woah, that’s not how it works with “cheating”. Even if in names, he should not cheat - break it up first and then go out with the new person.
Eri never cheats (flashbacks she is the one who got cheated on + violently abused). All of that signaling to her that her romantic partners never gonna be number one. Fuyuki is.
It says another point about her character - if she is in a relationship and the other person is serious, she will be in it until the other person breaks it off.
Eri is quite a responsible individual imo.

Again, it doesn’t help her connect Fuyuki with romantic feelings because Eri never views anything romantic as important. Her love is purely “Fuyuki-based”

She got bullied and framed as homophobic actually.
I think that whole incident signaling to Eri that her best friend at the time betrayed her and bullied her for rejecting a romantic advance (Eri probably got something like I want to go out with you, but forget about that girl childhood friend of yours). Eri can’t do that to Fuyuki is one thing, but she also kinda dense to not understand and draw the lines between friendship and romantic love - she may think that to have best friends mean that they cannot romantic. This is why she keeps having dude partners and her girl friends at high school were normalizing the idea of romantic relationships and the reason for her getting abused by her partners. She stopped having romantic relationships until the beginning of out story when the dude asked her out.

So the takeaway from Eri and Kyo’s pre-dating chat is that Eri had resolved to not date anymore and just live happily with Fuyuki, so Kyo confessed and led Eri to believe that he’d be fine with Eri maintaining her extremely close relationship with Fuyuki. But Kyo changed his mind after Eri accepted his confession and wants her to focus more on him, which was exactly what she was trying to avoid by not dating anymore. And now he’s mad. Dude, that’s your fuck up.

I do have to wonder how much comp-het Eri is dealing with. Cause it really seems like all her relationship experiences have been to check off boxes that she believes are expected of her, and her not realizing that there’s even another option available. Might have to go back and reread her reaction to Fuyuki’s girlfriend announcement.

Senpai trying to keep Fuyuki from getting too hurt by Eri, which is good. She’s being a great friend and pretend girlfriend. The little jabs at Eri are harsh but fair.

EriFuyu is probably endgame. But I can’t imagine it’ll be a smooth ride to the finish. There’s going to be some tough conversations and some “Come to Jesus” moments between the two about their relationship and Fuyuki having to play dear diary for so long.
Eri was definitely shocked that Fuyuki was gay, the concept never even seemed to don on her. And naturally since she had only ever dated men, Fuyuki believed her to be straight. Most likely Eri is bi, since while they never worked out she did seem at least okay with the previous relationships. She just didn't really love them, because they weren't Fuyuki. I think if Fuyuki had come out of the closet before this mess happened, Eri might have realized her own feelings sooner.

Of course thats not how it works, you should never cheat but it happens anyways and for various reasons. I’m not defending it merely observing the process happen. Kyo most likely feels that it’s over but isn’t going to state it and thats one of the themes of this story. Things that need to be said but go without being said.

Eri really is the center of every problem happening tbh. like Fuyuki should have just said she loves Eri in the first place but it's so hard to come out and say that to a childhood friend, they even make a point of saying how hard it was for Kyo to say it. I couldn't imagine having to do that whole also revealing you're gay at the same time. Fuyuki could have lost everything she loves so it makes sense she held it in for too long
But Eri needs to realize her feelings and talk with everyone she can't keep being a hypocrite when it benefits her

Who was that in the last page :questionblob:
She shows up in the "Filming Begins" chapter talking to Kyo near the start. it's pretty obvious she was interested in him or at least admires him
Why do they always have to be violent.
Next chapter, he's cheating with his underclassman ?
Goodbye Kyo.
Not really cheating when this chapter made it clear Eri doesn't even want to date him (that even Kyo can see). the ending pretty much implies break up to me with what was said and him leaving instead of comforting/talking it out her

The satisfaction of seeing Eri go down this spiral of angst is just so ugh 👌🏼 Reaping the consequences of letting your feelings sit on the fence like that mmmm yes inject that shit directly into my veins

If there's a scene where she has to grovel and beg Fuyuki to believe that she no longer sees her as "just" a friend and EARN a chance at a relationship? Girl I might just buy a physical copy!

True, and that's why he's bad too.

BUT I'll give him somewhat of an excuse: it was a pathetic attempo to try to change the status quo and become more than "a boyfriend that she doesn't see".
He became desperate because he didn't see ANY real change and any real thoughtfulness from Eri.
He felt driven into a corner and did a stupid thing; should've just move on the moment she threw the fit outside

I don't, the guy lied about accepting her condition to begin with, he pushed her into a relationship under false pretenses for his own benefit, all that is happening here is he's getting what he deserves for being a liar

Regardless of the reason, we all should be able to agree that laying hands on someone is waaay worse than merely being emotionally messy. You cannot start getting physical with your partner simply because you feel upset.

I still don't even hate the guy (though nor do I feel especially sorry for him), but he's so far beyond the realm of out-of-line that it's not even comparable.

They are dating since highschool. so yeah. more than a year
This chapter is on august 21, and Eri's birthday is july 22 where they had their first "alone time" since they became a couple. So I assume its around less than 2 month
Eri’s Birthday was just over a month after Kyo and Eri started dating, so they’ve been together for 2-3 months max.
