More importantly -- what was the last chapter in RAWs and if it's not "30" will the series atleast be finished to the axed point?

It's a confirmed axed unfortunately.

Interestingly enough, it's listed as "cancelled" and not "completed" on MD. Does anyone who knows japanese knows what's going on with the manga?

Personal opinion -- "cancelled" suggests to me that it was just stopped without any ending. Think of "Act-age" that was dropped when the author was picked up for molesting middle school girls, "Unbreakable Machine Doll" which disappeared without a trace (manga-wise), and "Kaze no Stigma" that suffered the loss of the author.

Where as "completed" would tell me that there is at least a planned -- even if rushed -- ending.

it got cancelled and so they chose to finished the story in a rushed way, its not the other way around
