Previously it was revealed that the author had health issues (forgot the twitter post but it was revealed around 2022 if I'm not wrong 2024-ish), so that maybe still affecting their work? If you see the other title, Aishi no Kunitama, they only updated 4 short chapters within this year.
Sana became an international hit, it even officially translated into 3 languages, I can only see incentives to continue working the title if nothing is going on.

Every single panel being so good also doesn't help either. A lot of panels, full color, detailed, no negative space, and the most important thing. Not using shortcut like just pasting csp asset all over the place. I can only imagine just how much time and effort the author put into this.

yeah it's all desperation and stuff but I don't think flying around and burning a town to a crisp is a good way of asking for help. Still to be fair the dragon is likely very upset that a human is likely the culprit.

Remember this is book knowledge that hasn't happened yet. Presumably when the Hero arrives in the village, it triggers the death event and causes the dragon to rampage.

Now that you mentioned it, I checked ch. 14 and yes, RAWS said that. But which dragon? The king didn't know that either.

We can infer that he knew it was a dragon, but he didn't know it was a red dragon. How could he know beyond what the king told him before arriving to Adeno City?
Okay it wasn't explicitly mentioned in this chapter. Why is that? I don't know. Maybe the author overlooked the fact that the king has mentioned the monster, and regressing them back to "giant monster".

Thank you for the explanation. Maybe he added the surprise of the dragon in ch18 later so he has another Sana moment. Therefore he had to update Ch14.
