Yeah, that was absolutely his plan. Unfortunately, Aoban is too good and is helping out a grandmother so his friend looked like an idiot in front of their classmates. Still worked out in the end.

Honestly, if Mizudori herself asked for Aobe to be the prince it would be such a difference from usual cliches and I woudl cheer so much.
