I'm a little annoyed at the contrivances, honestly. I'm sure the date itself will be all cute and dandy but the exposition dump could have been left for a better time.

The character poses are feeling a bit wonky to me too, moreso than usual.

This manga doesn't cover enough in one chapter to develop it over time. It would take too many chapters. Sure, it's an exposition dump but it's probably better than it taking 25 chapters.
