this chapter just symbolises about everything i dislike in this manga....
first off charackters that think they are oh so smart when they are infact dumb like a piece of bread
secondly this weird concept that you have to play the game others set for you instead of looking outside the box or just throwing the gameboard over when there is no incentive to play
why bother to solve the setup of a schemer when you don't have to, just break them.
in this case, someone hoards food? the very first measure should be to publicize him so he has to revise his plans down to a human level
and the inexplicable kindness shown to criminal assholes like the knight.
for pulling a sword on a child in a store he should already be exiled from the town and for pulling a sword on the daughter of the citylord and an actual citylord he gets off scot free?
execute him or imprison his and his companions ass
and finaly after showing god level restraint and magnanimity the charackters still feel the need to apologize for their "crude" actions
i know the charackters actualy mean it but at this level it just feels fake since they didn't commit any mistake well besides not using forcefull means to deal with forcefull people
but to be fair its a very necessary chapter to clarify the sides in this conflict on the eve of battle
and a concentrated dose like this one doesn't happen that often and since it was crucial to the story build up i will just look forward to the future with anticipation ^_^
@Beregorn
yep because he didnt follow through
merchants who cant be trusted to fulfill their end of a deal are bad merchants
what kind of business he/she does is secondary but deals and contracts a merchant makes should be worth the gold they stipulate
