Is it like some secret scanlator covenant not to translate the last few chapters? It happens way too often that a group does 99% of a manga and then the last 3 chapters never come

I'm just guessing, but a lot of groups will drop the project as soon as they hear of an official translation.
So when did that happen? And thus why does it happen too often that manga get official translations just a few chapters before their end?

Yea, from what I could gather it seems the artist had issues keeping a regular release schedule. No idea if it was due to sickness or other commitments though. Eventually the readership declined to the point the original publishers decided to end it. The light novel however is still going. It also has had an erratic release schedule, but is currently at 25 volumes with the latest one released in August of 2025.

The manga did get an official English translation, but the company that was doing those went under, so... That's why I'm wrapping it up for preservations sake.
