They really need to take over the planet, or to be less "evil", have to convince all of the countries to work together to survive the bug menace. Doubt the latter will ever happen though.

Chapter 4-5? She tells him the planets name, and just now and they are different. Why do that?

@WillTell "Something's not right with either the clone or the mangaka."

I think it's the mangaka. He doesn't seem to remember that the Princess already told him the name of the planet was Aless when she was first teaching him in that cave. He presents it here as some big, important reveal.

He didn't quit the empire he's still a captain and therefore his responsibility still lies first and foremost as a subject of the Galactic Empire against the bugs, he prompted the clones to become citizens of the yet-to-be colonized world since they have no objectives concerning the mission because they are incapable of fulfilling it in the first place (so, for what purpose do they serve for the Empire other than to aide the captain's circumstances? And the Empire's Ethics Committee forbids the cloning using the tissues of the deceased so they will most likely be disposed). That's why he's reflecting on his interference of the world's politics with their advanced technologies and offering the clones to live in that world.

Also, he specifically mentioned he can't abandon his rank because he has the highest responsibility.

You have gravely misunderstood the conversation.

Either full chapters or get someone who isn't an a-hole to translate it instead.
Also who the actual F introduces plastic to this kind of society? There is no way they can make it properly, and even if they can they have no incentive to recycle it. These writers are terrible.

So a hair dryer that not only dries hair super quick but also makes hair glossy... okay, mister perfect.

I'd have said something about how immature Selena is acting, but in all likelihood she's a clone who's technically less than 1 year old in a young woman's body... at least Sharon seems a bit more mature, but their chronological ages kinda bother me if they're gonna be part of his inevitable harem.

I can respect him trying to set the clone girls free to live out their lives as ordinary humans, given the fact that imperial military laws forbid their existence (clone of a dead person) and they'd probably be executed if discovered, meaning there's very little chance they can join imperial society as regular citizens in the event they get rescued or find a way to leave Aless.

Wasn't the MC brainwashed according to the standard procedure? Why is he so lost? He is supposed to be a perfect admiral and a loyal dog of the Empire. And as such, his next steps are clear:
  1. Try to get in touch with the army headquarters.
  2. Try to gather as much information about magic as possible.
  3. Send it back to the Empire.
  4. Make sure that no bugs will be able to get the information, even if the whole planet has to be glassed in the worst case.
  5. Avoid interfering with the locals if it's not necessary for any of the above.

I can actually buy the lack of technological advancements here. Magic really seems cool but it would 100% hold back scientific discovery at a larger level. Turns out combining them is really strong though, I could imagine proper magitech being the key to getting rid of the bugs
