The house mother feels like a kindred spirit to the MC. She probably hasn't left that former job. She's probably the house mother as an assignment of that job in order to keep an eye on the princess since she's staying there.

I'll laugh if the SCP's plan is foiled by the house mother with the MC never knowing about it.

I think it's more likely the house mother is there to keep watch over the SCP, since she seem to have been there for a while.

I can't wait for the princess to laugh in the face of the "Demon Lord's Power" since she has faced (and killed) the actual demon lord before.
