Yeah, seeing his arrogance. It's likely Demons got "FAT" so to speak from the time between FMC previous Era and Life to Now! His Confidence means he likely killed MANY if not ALOT of humans with ease! For being an EXPERT of "Assassination" it's clear being out of the league of "New Era Humans" he BARELY had to try! Hence why FMC had him dead to rights

"He got Lazy and Cocky" over the Years as he never encountered NOR never assumed he'd encounter a Human that might threaten him! Though Glasses did PRESUME at BEST FMC would only be able to irk out a "Mutal Kill Draw" where BOTH her and the Demon died! Hence her SHOCK FMC was ALIVE implying "Flawless victory" as she looks no worse then the wear (the way she talked about the Familiar! She likely knew enough that she SHOULD have been attacked last night, NO DRAWING IT OUT! So the fact she's lost contact with the Familar, as said, it should have been a Mutal Kill at BEST! Flawless Victory justifies WHY she had that experission since it means FMC never even broke a SWEAT! At Worst for Glasses, she was expecting her to have a lasting INJURY, soem scrabs, barely holding onto a thread! Not "he never stood a chance!"

Because fighting Demons to humans AWARE of them like her is DIFFERENT then fighting humans! Yeah she was MIGHTY in how she dealt with the Coup by her brother. But hte JUSTIFIED presumption Demonkind though "few" are a different level then humans is something she KNOWS. Hence trying to get rid of her as a STEP in her plan with her "Patron" providing the Demon/Familiar for the job because as far as she and he were concern, she was "strong" for a "human" of this era. But in his mind, Not anywhere NEAR the Humans from the Era of the Demon King....blissfully unaware FMC WAS one of those SCARY HUMANS from back then having "survived" knowledge wise via Reincarnation and STILL so terrifyingly powerful that even SHE was surprised how Weak Demonkind seem to have gotten! My guess was she was fighting with her mindset of fighting Demons back then!

Meaning she was EXPECTING to face at LEAST (going off that she's a High Level FIGHTER since she Spec out of Wizard LOL) that she was hoping it was a MID Level at best (Level 60 vs a Level 55-58 threat, hell if lucky, a Level 61 one) instead for all his smack talk, he was basically "Level fucking 1" compared to her (hence her SHOCK of how "One Punch" it ended up BEING, she was expecting a LEAD UP to a serious fight, not the STARTING BLOW BEING AN INSTANT KNOCK OUT!

While Demons became Lazy, arrogant and "FAT" due to never having a challenge if CENTURIES! This has caused them to likely be WEAKER then they were back then if they ever had the HORROR to run into a Human from that Era (Logical, compare Predators raised in captivity to those raised in the wild! NO CONTEST if the former were released with NO TRAINING TO HUNT, they would barely survive because they grew up USE to food being GIVEN to them! Same would APPLY if you took a Predator that WAS Raised in the Wild and is a STRONG Hunter and raise it in captivity! Harder for it to ADJUST, but it WILL in time get use to ALWAYS being given it's meals every day that it might have TROUBLE readjusting to life BACK in the wild!

That Logic seems to apply to Demonkind here, though still a THEORY right now since that was a FAMILIAR, the classic "He was the Weakest of our number" essentially! Later encounters will confirm if I'm right on the money or not, but it seems I may be! Got to wait and see
