So basically translated into modern terms, she took one of her parent's cars out despite not knowing how to drive and totals it. I would be relieved to see her safe too but man she still deserves some consequence though.

I wonder what the 0 in Geralt's parameters really mean 🤔. I can only see them as siblings at this point of the story.

Oh, it's nice to see a story with no intentionally malicious people that are actually quite interesting.. for now, at least,
And I kinda missed the Scottish accent(?) of the previous chapter,

Well of course the uncle is a bit awkward... the guy's been alone for a while, it seems.
And then, he suddenly gets two new family members, adolescents at that, who wouldn't be awkward in that situation.

But damn, I like the fact that her efforts and cheeriness melts cold hearts. First her adoptive brother, then her new uncle... even though she doesn't seem to realise it.
It's good to see a naïve girls efforts not go to waste for once.

@ghusjil No, she knew how to drive, and she was licensed, such as was required, so your comparison is flawed. Rather, she took out the car without permission in a storm, and nothing more. Of course, neither of those things is good, either, and if nothing else, I'd be ticked that my child didn't have the foresight to either slow down or pull over and wait out the storm. Not that I'd exactly be happy about them taking the car out without permission, either. But a lack of respect and/or trust is something that can be worked on, while suicidal recklessness has a chance of limiting one's future options.

Of course, we don't actually get any insight into where the Duke was at the time, so he may not have actually been able to be contacted. Hence it may not have really been a "without permission", and more just a "without waiting around the house until her parent got back from work to run her plans by them before enacting them". A grey area, essentially, rather than something outright disrespectful or otherwise problematic. On the other hand, she's part of a Ducal household and ended up taking the carriage out without a coachman, so it's highly unlikely she was following proper procedures on the matter, so your assumption on the "without permission" aspect is likely correct.

This boring. It's standard shoujo, with the isekai and VG element completely wasted by simply being a shortcut to the romance.

Mm I personally think the affection meter is broken if it doesn't increase to at least 0.001 now...

Who knows what it's actually measuring, for example could be something like odds of him trying to do something to her.

I just found out what the affection numbers mean.

If the capture targets are captured by anyone else other than the heroine of the game then it automatically defaults to 0. So, he's already captured by the MC. lol

@Walter_vi_Britannia - Thanks for the spoilers! Wow that makes sense but that didn't really slip my mind. I hope their relationship develops enough in a romantic way so I wouldn't hear "Sweet Home Alabama" in my head when they're flirting. xD

D'aww. This was dramatic, but I'm more surprised by how everyone in this large family manage to be such good people and believably have such unconditional love for each other.

Mom and dad were honest with their kids, but also tried not to put pressure on them. Both kids sincerely wanted to help and Geralt even heroically so.
And Uncle...I was totally prepared for him to be that guy, but no, it seems he's just an awkward, slightly gruff man who's finally found the last remnants of his beloved lost son. He doesn't want Geralt for a heir so much as just wanting to have family again-that's probably why he instantly accepted Licca too.

So far, the only bad people were the shady orphanage owners we know basically nothing about.

@NoireNowaru but they're not related, they all know they aren't related, and now he's been taken back in by his blood relative so wouldn't this have nothing to do with the Alabama 100 Memes?
