People (especially the MC) are sure stupid and just let the hero go free and just let his punishment be exile and bad reputation.

The hero's special power is that he cannot die (drop below 1 HP) until the Demon Lord is defeated.

The Hero has already sided with one of the Demon Generals as a precedent.

So wouldn't it be a natural problem and connection that the selfish Hero who only cares about himself, would join the Demon Lord? If the "Hero" protects the Demon Lord, he is effectively immortal.

The hero may be functionally hard to kill, but this in no way means he cant be defeated. Otoh I think cutting off his support(the nun and catkin) and putting him somewhere where he cant cause trouble would be a good idea. As things stand now, it just opens others to his tyranny and anger.

- A random pick and the god cant do anything about it.
- The god picked him but cant do anything about how would he become as person.
- The god picked him and was expecting this so it was just a push forcing the hero to actually go killing the demon lord instead of fucking around.

i dont get why the author allowed them to remain free, there is other things that can be used as antagonists.

there is so many creative ways you can punish someone who cant die but yet feels the pain.

It could've actually been a choice God made on purpose, because of the Hero's personality. We don't know what the previous heroes were like, so we can't be sure whether he's like them or not.
