Yeah, it definitely is comparable to Europe in late 17th century. Golden age of artisans and craftsmen, just before first signs of industrial revolution happens. Nice change from the usual medieval/reneissance tech these fantasies usually take place in.

You got me curious.

It's thrown off by the fact that clay was used in papyrus making in Egypt in the BC era, and fibers have been mixed into clay to add strength by Indian and pre-Columbian potters.

Paper clay is a mix of paper pulp and traditional clays, but it a specific method of combining the fibrous material and the clay for it to hold up. It looks like multiple ceramic potters and artists have 'discovered' it, but one named Carol Farrow has some of the earliest documentation in the 70s. It came into wider use in the early 90's after articles on how to process and properly heat the new clay in the kilns.

Modeling clay is from the late 1880's, and not really used for modeling until the 1930's. But it isn't designed to be fired.

Technical drawing are kind of old. I doubt there'd be any risk of her inventing it. But in manga, you never know what magically hasn't been developed.

Cardboard, on the other hand, might not have been invented at that time.

Clay, expensive? And isn't paper clay pretty much regular clay with some paper (or other) fibers in it for stability and such? No idea when it was invented without looking it up, though.

Technology tends to be rather schizophrenic in isekai. Mostly because either the author doesn't know, or because of artistic liberties. Or to fill in plot holes.

Unsurprisingly most of the villainess themed series, or those with lots of court life otherwise, seem to reach even the 18/19th century in looks and social (even financial) development, though obviously with lots of strategically omitted technologies, such as firearms (though sometimes they are there as well). It makes sense to make all sorts of drama, healthier life, plus fabulous buildings and dresses easier to depict. Not that I'd have anything against it, as long as the manga (or manhwa) doesn't make the MC note it's like the medieval Europe.

On this point in particular, almost all fantasy mangas tend to go for a later fashion than the technology level. It's usually from the Renaissance to the Victorian era. Which is a pretty long time span, but the technology is often before that. Though it's fantasy, so it's not that picky.
