But yes, the author is prolly going to gloss over it rather than use it as a plot-point/topic. So odds are mc will be into it off-camera. Perhaps it will even be a "only when it is my gf, but not other men" kind of thing.

I also doubt that it gets analysed at all, but seeing as they also mention barely remembering each other ...or their own names for that matter... one could just make the point that being re-born overwrote all their sexual orientations from their previous lives. so it doesn't matter what they once were.

Isekai couple gender-reversal is surprisingly rare considering how fun of a setup it can be I can only think of like one other work with this, and that was only a couple of pages-- can hardly be called a manga.. I've seen it in novels many times, so you'd think it would have filtered over to manga by now

I rather see it as a very deliberate erasure by whatever God/entity made this happen. Like to make it easier to adjust to their new selves and not get too many identity problems they removed some memories and such. It leaves the big question of "why" though.
