The King definitely just didn't wanted to deal with any of this shit for sure.

One has to wonder what the officers will think of it. To hear the military structure at the top will be changed according to the suggestions from a child. It either sounds like a metaphor for "the current situation was so stupid that even a child could have come up with a better one" or an almost insulting excuse for not wanting to answer any questions. It would seem rather peculiar if any career officers suddenly went and started to discuss serious matters with the kid. The first one to do it would especially be stared at by the peers. Though that being said, if they know she's the future queen, it might still be worth it for them politically, but I kind of doubt they would still ask serious questions, as it's hard to imagine they actually believe the little girl is truly behind it. At most they would think it was just some innocent question from a child that made the king finally decide to change things.

If it fails they could say it was an idea of a female child who has no business in a male-centric career. In the worst case, they could push all the blame on her, and abolish both the system and the engagement, with the excuse that the royal house was pressured by a duke's house. Now the the royal house will get the loyalty of the military back and lower the Mirandiehl’s influence in one go, so they can’t hope to stage revenge at the risk of a bigger loss.

I read too much into it, but in a more political inclined fiction, it could really be played out like this.

i also ask the same question last chapter, but i think the age thing is just the chapter number and they're are still 7 years old
When Teal was 10, and they're basically the same age, they announced her as the fiancee. In the previous chapter, 24.1, she talked about her future, where she'd go to school at 12 and then at 15 be considered an adult and get married.

So yeah, she's still 10 and has barely started puberty; it's a given they're still shorter than the adults in the military. They have also been shown to have grown since the start when she was a much smaller child, so I'm sure we'll see her more grown up eventually.

Meme about the King's speech: As you all already know, we are consolidating Military Administration for the Army, the Navy, and the recently established Air Force. I realize you're all stressed out because of it, so I'll just add that this is all Miranda's fault btw lol.

Why aren't they getting taller?? They're 25 now but she's still a lot shorter than those around her 😥😥😥
25? Where’d you get that number from? She should still be a young kid and not “married” to the prince til she’s 15

I’m surprised they’d be willing to Listen to her plan to being with as opposed to it being disguised as the princes plan or so/giving him the credit but hopefully it’s not like she’d be executed for it and can just focus on being a businesswoman or so lol

That would indeed be quite natural development in a more ruthless series. But somehow I find it unlikely in this fluffy one!
