I wasn't sure but I was pretty sure the TL kinda flipped the sentence (he was supposed to mention her looking like a doll prior to that sentence, but it's reversed). I wanted to be sure so I read ahead to chapter 2 before replying, and it makes more sense after reading it. Sure enough he is just really crazy about dolls. He meant he would buy a doll that looked like her.

And yes, the "any amount of money" isn't out of place for a doll otaku. If you know how much high profile and/or life-sized dolls can cost. Like the FF14 Y'shtola doll for instance. $980.00 USD!!
Thats still mega creepy dude

Honestly it could just be as simple as the Buddhist cycle of reincarnation and Miranda's original soul pretty much being done with that whole rigmarole.
It would be kinda funny if they just swapped bodies and see Original Miranda running around in MC's body.

I'm not usually a fan of genderswap in general, but I'll give it a shot.

There have to be other settings, right? It can't always be "18th century Europe with magic," right?
I think it's because the target demographic is Japanese. If it's just Japanese medieval, it's boring? So they put European medieval because it's different? Dunno, just guessing.

or they need a world setting that's somewhat believeable, without constructing the whole policitcal system from scratch, while still being alien enough for japanese to feel like it's not their world, so they can't use asian medieval, but european. Just a guess.

I will start saying I completely agree on this front and I get why it's being done. At the same time there is a lot of Earth and a lot of time that could be utilized.

I don't think that there is really anything inherently wrong with the setting, only that it's very narrow in its scope.

He glossed over the cliche possibility that he may be an executed villainess comically quick. Given that the original went through it numerous times, you'd think he'd be more concerned by that implication (as in, she wasn't able to change her fate, or perhaps will always return regardless of what happens; death from old age, or anything else).
I think its in the case of: enjoy it first, deal with the problem later.

Toilets were outhouses most of the time, whether actual outhouses or built into the buildings.

I've never seen people wipe themselves down as much as I have in Japanese fiction. That's such a Japanese thing. People in Europe, especially a duke's family, would wash themselves in tubs. If they didn't have that, from washing basins.

They try to fake something non-Japanese and end up showing how incredibly Japanese they are.

Also, where I live, Scandinavia, people have also bathed frequently since they immigrated here. There are so many natural sources of water here it would be dumb not to take advantage of them.

Gonne from Asian difficult to baby mode.

Well... the older brother is tosted but at least the little brother is big.

So the mc already knows there is magic in the world but has no plans to learn it... understandable since he just recovered from almost dying. Still something that should be first priority.
