I don't have a problem with people enjoying fiction in whatever way they want, but it always rubs me the wrong way when someone starts fantasizing about other what other real people are thinking, especially when it involves their own fetishes. I think it's pretty obvious the author just didn't want romance in their story, so Miranda thinking "I see what you aimed for there writer" feels like she's pushing her own fujoshi fetishes onto an unsuspecting third party. Granted she didn't say it out loud and she doesn't have any fujoshi friends to share with in this world, but reading it still made me uncomfortable....
You know you’re claiming a fictional character is fetishizeing another fictional character’s fictional characters right?

I suggest you stop listening to weirdos on twitter who don’t know what their talking about and just admit you don’t like gay relationships or ppl talking gay relationships bc that’s what your comments ultimately boils down to at the end of the day.

I have absolutely no problem with gay relationships or people talking about gay relationships. I have a problem with people projecting their fetishes, whether it's a fetish about gay relationships or something else, onto others. I've directly experienced this as my own completely platonic friendship with another man was fetishized by a number of mutual female friends, and it was creepy AF. Seeing similar behavior in fiction and expressing an opinion on it has nothing to do with weirdos on twitter and doesn't inherently invalidate my opinion, using fiction as a medium for discussing real world experiences is a thing you know....
