I wonder if it's more a political thing (different alignments between the prince and young lady) or a personal thing (the young lady wants to be queen no more than Miranda does). I suspect the latter.

Both of them don't want the prince. Presumably Miranda knows the prince a bit better and is weirded out.

Hot potato prince~
Would actually be a fun premise for a story.
Every heroine of some dating sim don't want the "mc" and toss him around.

Imagine being a crown prince but got rejected by both of his fiancee candidates :nyoron:

Thanks for the new chapter.

In the end, they all live happily ever after.

Would it be better if the prince heard about how unwanted he is or not? Though that being said, we are talking about kids with their ages under 10, so it's kind of dubious how seriously their thoughts about marriage should be taken.

So, this is a hot potato (prince marriage) match between the 2 of them.

Who going to end with the hot potato?:02:
What's this about hot potatoes? Wouldn't one normally rather want a hot potato, not a cold potato?

Hot Potato is a game. In the simplest version you sit in a circle and pass something around in turns like a beanbag for example while music is playing. The one holding the "hot potato" when the music stops is the loser.

try holding a baked potato straight out of the oven in your hand. You can't, right? Because it's scalding hot, you want to toss it away somewhere so you don't burn your hands. That's where the name of the game and the idiom comes from.
