I WOULD LIKE SOME OPINIONS ABOUT MY THEORY

the comments are my exact thoughts but i also want to add a random theory:
that ''goddess'' or something else like that ''goddess'' might be the one thats posessing milfina, because it was bored or some other dumb reason. they somehow make more allies with some ''mysterious outsiders'' and then with some broken power they can go and fight the ''goddess'' with the power of milfs and harem or sum. But its unlikely to happen so yh... (hating on the ''goddess'' for now btw 😑🖕)

also page 22 was so unexpected and well drawn my heart skipped a whole beat (as in that shocked me ,just when we had some character development and semi wholesome conversations 🥹🙏)

Edit: eyy i thought about it for a sec and they can litterally somehow fight the goddess/it. They die while milfina stays behind as she trusts them and lends them some power, they go to heaven, fight with their broken power + milfina's power + cecilia's power + the demons their own power or morphed and milfina revives them afterwards. And the ''random outsiders'' i mentioned can be the ''gifted'' people the broken one's! 😩🙌 fahhhhhh! (still unlikely tho)

My current suspicion is that this is a "Goddess playing with mortals" situation somewhat, but I'm not sure the mist is the Goddess, just maybe something placed in the world by her for "fun"

I have a feeling that figuring out the "Trigger" for the Mist-takeover is going to be the next step forward in unravelling the "game"

Also Page 22 wasn't that unexpected for me. After the first time, I was expecting another "surprise heart-to-heart moment" as it were, or some equal "surprise brutal killing by mist-possessed Milfina"

Goddess of Love and Salvation huh? Very oddly specific. I feel like this is a trial the goddess gave to Cecilia that she need to find on her own as opposed to the goddess just doing it on a whim. To learn to love but to who, the demon king or perhaps all of them? and salvation, is it truly just to save the humans or maybe there is something more? I also suspect the trigger to the demon king killing MC is that whenever someone affected by the mist start softening up to her, it will immediately kill her.

Gods in mythology have been known to split themselves in two to play with themselves and present duality as their aspects. The goddess said she's the god of love and something so I'm guessing that there's another side of hate and something.

What I'm trying to figure out is the trigger. The goddess of love intervenes in death, what would be the other intervene over? Do they have rules they play by? Is the newly made demon king the only one the other can work through?

I don't hate the goddess, I think she's just holding up her side of the rules and would tell if the other side broke the agreement.

Why is the demon lord just getting used to her body. Were they all humans that were turned into demons.

The mist infects multiple of them, I assume any we have seen it on are infected not producing it.

Hand shakes are only focused on. And have been timed with the mist mode deaths. promises or contracts, maybe the demons have some form of binding contract, and the mist enforces it.

The maid, she has a history of corrupting others, and bringing down nations for her desires, the demon invasion saved her. The influence she had seems to much for just a whore, she is also one of very few named characters, having it be a twist characters requires the character be not a new character. This leaves her as really the only twist option.

Personally, I don’t find this revelatory, I’d already assumed as much. Of course a being that can manipulate time, and observe events without needing to be physically present, would already know exactly what’s going on. It would even be within her power to have warned Cecilia ahead of her first death, not that she could have done anything with that information. That’s why i think the process is just as important as the answers themselves.

In her first three loops, Cecilllia has not just gained information on Milfina and the demons, her perception and attitude towards them is changing. She was already much more relaxed and familiar with Milfina only a few hours after meeting her a second time, and we’ll probably see her behaviour towards Lapience change as well, now that she understands her better. Cecillia is changing with each loop, and some of the demons are taking notice. Before, it was Lapience, now this chapter it was Maria. Even if she starts the loops from the same time and place, she’ll start over as a slightly different person each time.

So, what could be the point of these loops? In the process of finding the real culprit, Cecillia will be able to win over the other demons who she will no doubt need the aid of to deal with the culprit. After all, if the culprit feels threatened, they could just manipulate Milfina, and as we‘ve seen, she’s stronger than all the other demons. Not just one could face her alone and survive. I do agree that it’s probably not any of them behind it all, but I think Cecillia will need to win them all over in order to save her wife.

Plus, isn’t it better for world peace in the long term if Cecillia wins all of the demons over, instead of just having Milfina be the one to keep them all in check?

And besides, based on what I’ve seen of other gods in fiction, the more involved they become with mortals, the messier the drama. The Goddess is probably doing everyone in Cecillia‘s world a favour by not meddling anymore than she has to.

There are several things going on with the story that doesn't immediately make sense or hopefully will make sense in the future (but it is a manga with great art so my hopes are not high. Good art and great story rarely if ever coexist unless it's an LN adaptation. Even that is rare).

1st. Demons obviously do not belong to the natural order of the world and feels like a VERY recent addition planted by someone. Story does mention that the appearance was sudden. This looks more like an alien invasion then a native species going rampart.

2nd. "I'm getting used to my body" remark. Demon king is obviously either severely autistic or just born 2 weeks ago, literally. She lacks any common sense and approaches everything just like a newborn would. This newborn however has an already developed ego but no other facilities that accompanies it.

Unless its a red herring, after the asshole "goddess"s behavior this chapter, they are all peons on a board set by bunch of other asshole gods for kicks. Demon are just the latest addition to see what would happen.
