It’s funny how most attorney manga tends to become detective manga later on, and the objective becomes find the culprit instead of simply prove the person innocent like in “12 angry men” woop.
The most suspicious person is her dad’s old co-worker Akazawa, but that motif is too cliche so I guess there will be more things going on.

It feels almost too obvious, but it semi-tracks. That incident happened in July, 2000 and the baby wasn't born long after that. And then her dad was murdered on Christmas Eve 2022. which almost lines up that she was 21 at the start of the series. It's possible like her dad changed her birth certificate to lower suspicions. And don't worry, I'm not telling you spoilers or anything.

I really like the dynamics going on. Komugi is smart, she’s a child but she’s not childish, the 2 lawyers are cynical but they’re looking out for her. They all complement one another and add the reporter to the mix, it’s great.

I was thinking the same thing. It is likely that she was adopted by the police dad. Perhaps the killer’s original target was her when he/she burned down the house. Something like an unfinished business…like okay you got saved last time but this time around imma get you kind of thing loool.
