Probably would have been more profitable and helpful in the long run to leave the origin golem in place. Turn the mine into a live-fire training ground with infinitely respawning material/loot drops.
Guess it depends what the mine was originally excavating and how much of a threat the golems were (presumably not much since they were just on guard duty for the bear ore).

I think the Bear God's mental corruption is getting to her. Not everyone has the willpower of Tanya. Even by succumbing to the Bear though, she isn't going to get taller.
