why people think or at least some people think.. if there's no drama or wasted some potential drama... immediately think the trashy story...

Not all good story have sad drama, sometimes some cute slice of life series is to be considered good .... and sometimes.. we need some calming and cherish story to heal our heart after reading some sad drama story...

and moreover .. from the start, this series almost throw away some serious potential drama (bc her cheat)... that made me think.. why are you people still in here complaining about the plot... i wonder... maybe you just tsundere.. pretending not like it.. but actually really love it.... Nah that probably ain't..

@Solipsist Kind of ridiculous to criticize the story for being the genre it actually is, it's pretty obvious that the novels you mentioned (death march and this kuma novel) are slice of life stories which are meant to be easy-going and light reads. There isn't a deep thought-out plot because there isn't meant to be one in the first place. Comparing your holier-than-thou Overlord is the equivalent of comparing apples and oranges, totally different genres for different audiences.

All I can see is just people complaining about Slice of Life being Slice of Life. I've heard enough times that people write it off as being shit, saying it is boring / repeats itself / etc., but some just want their casual fluff. Drama is left for others to write.

I'm not sure how to go about that comment of yours, because I was making the same reply you're making, to Greenfox.
Yes, putting Overlord and your everyday Isekai together is like comparing apples and oranges. I agree.

┐(´ー`)┌

And regarding what may have triggered you off, I called em' "aimless disaster", due to their heavy use of discovery writing. Just whisking away as it goes, and Kuma is pretty aimless. That alone is fine, if it was just a WN. But the moment you need to pay for it...That's where my argument is.
I can't say I understand why you'd pay money to basically "watch memes". Would you pay to browse through 9gag? I can't wrap my head around it.

@phil777
I honestly think it'd have been better if something like that was written in. I basically think anything would've been fine, as long as it was actually there. I was just pointing out how amazing I found it, that the author didn't even care enough to say how the magic works. It goes beyond: "imagine bad stuff go away", it was literally: "imagine "it" (whatever "it" is) working!"
No real reason to to debate it, really. I just found it funny.

Wow, you guys are complaining a lot. I literally told you all this would happen 10+ chapters ago, and what it says about Yuna as a person.

Thanks for the upload. Was a good chapter to me. Idk why people are looking for drama in a slice of life. Maybe they should use the drama tag to find what they're looking for.

Comparing fluffy slice of life like this or Deathmarch, to serious drama like Overlord, isn't apples to oranges, it's more like grapes to other foods, because while refreshing, you only really enjoy them in bunches.

The problem of the recent chapter isn't she too OP. It's that the story is going down the Mary Sue path. There's she too OP for any dramatic tension of a more serious type of story. But it's not going fluffy enough to enjoy as a slice-of-life. So it looks like a Mary Sue smashing all conflict without tension.

To note, I'm not saying fluffy slice-of-life and having a story are incompatible. I'm sure there's a middle ground that also exist that a story can pull off well, but this chapter ain't it.

It would be funny if in exchange for healing her completely she gain some bear-like features since Yuna need to imagine a bear in order to fully utilize any form of magic.

I think the most problem people have with this chapter is the way she literally handwave away a deadly illness.

for example:
the author could have make it so she have to buy a 100 gold healing spell she have to learn.
she have the money, and only need to walk to a store.
it didn't change the story's fluffiness, still keep it light, but it made sense and didn't leave a Niagara sized plot hole that give half of reader WTF moment.
but the author didn't bother to.
