People in Japan do like putting potatoes on pizza for some reason. About half a cm thick or so. Personally, I think it makes the pizza significantly worse though, but I'm also not a fan of putting a lot of cheese on pizzas either, so who knows if my tastes are actually a valid metric. Probably my favorite Japanese pizza topping would be bulgogi. Of course I'm aware that bulgogi itself originates from Korean food. Best pizza topping is of course pineapple though, preferably mixed with other sweet toppings as well. Bulgogi for example.

Its a shame they didn't show how everyone was afraid of the potatoes and then eventually she convinces them it is safe to eat like in the novel.

Though I do disagree with previous comments on why they haven't discovered some cooking methods. Technology like cooking methods don't automatically come with time, for some it is a waste of resource if you fail or even succeed at experimenting, other times, you die.
Examples will be potatoes that when green are poisonous because they are technically part of a poisonous plant in the nightshade family,
or the puffer fish preparations to cut away the poisonous parts or sometimes even pickling poisonous parts for 3 years in a special method to remove poison,
or in America, the young pokeweed leaves and shoots that has to be boiled and rinsed at least 3 times to remove the poison.

Also.... what is wrong with you people! Pineapple pizza is a sin to the purity of pizza! Down with the heretics!

@Savarizki Depends on the type of cheese and the flavor/consistency of the rind.

@Riger Noa and her family are nobles, that's not the same as Royalty, and they are literally getting a tour of the King's home without direct permission from him. Even the Prime Minister of the UK can't just walk in and show people around Buckingham Palace without approval.

It's like you neighbor just randomly taking you on a tour of their workplace without getting permission from their boss or the company owner.

It depends on the country, I guess. In Russia, you can just buy a ticket for a guided tour around Moscow Kremlin.

I always thought the royal palace was more simple looking when I was reading the novel.

The artist clearly let his imagination run wild with that shot of the palace. It just doesn't make much sense.
