That's what I've been thinking since the beginning, but the bear didn't seem to have any reaction to the picture of his mom in this chapter. So unless the author just really didn't want to give it away, I think it might be someone else, like a childhood friend or something.

Maybe the bear will end up being a metaphor for a yamato nadeshiko Japanese housewife, and the point of this manga is to show that people start off being total strangers that have trouble understanding each other but will slowly learn more about each other and grow closer, and the last chapter will have a reveal of a real person? With the lesson learned by MC being that you have to take some risks to get the worthwhile things you want in life?

But who knows, maybe she not only possessed the bear, but also lost her memories, and is no just acting on instinct, because she her son's smell.
And she reacted to the name Risky, because that was her nickname when she was alive, because of all the extreme sports she was doing.

Similar penchant for thrills too. I wouldn't be surprised if his little sister shown in the flashbacks is also a thrill seeker, author seems to think that makes for an interesting parallel with the mc.
