IIRC in the anime there is a seperate story going on with the rest of the classmates being reincarnated as humans and stuff on the surface. But the anime tries to do about half and half Spider amd Human Story Line. But the spider is 10x more likeable and fun than the human characters so its hard not to just skip over them.
