Small are justi.... uhh... yea... nope. Can't do it.
Idea is ab big as you can get without causing her back pain, which interfers with life later on, those 2 are past that threshold.
So the king didn't even know that shield left. bruh poor dude cant catch a break.
To be fair, does he need to keep track of Shields daily life?
If it was the hot gossip that would be one thing, but one would normally assume one woud not disregard his decrees and boot someone the king had rewarded by name, and the hussy he was engaged to as a high ranking nobles daughter should have been aised to expect and take seriously the kind of arranged marrige that was their engagement, as oppoed to framing him to try and get with someone who will also end up in an arranged marriage.
IIRC, the king is an idiot but no one told him about the banishment.
the bad guys are really bad...ly written
They are a entitled teen girl, use to getting her own way, and a corrupt knight who now needs to cover up his crimes or meet the axeman.
Also the MC forgot to tell them the maintenance requirements for the barrier.
It's been 5 chapters and he's already got a harem.
Is it really a harem is he just wants them to go away?
What do you mean? Despite being a king, he has no knowledge of his subjects' doings. All other nations already knew about this but not the king, this just shows how much disinterested he was in state management.
True, but paying attenton requires people tell him things. his reaction indicates no one did.
Though no one telling him is a sign that they thought he would not care.
And asking the knight leader as opposed ot the head court magician is also a bad sign. Go to the persons boss.

not only he didn't know that, he didn't even know all the drama about shield dude got frame for planning a coup (which is happened in public where many people seen too)
we also have people from different countries already know about the whole mess and want to get him come to their kingdom too, so how the heck the King is clueless about it still?

These brain dead antagonists smh. Why didn't they spare a little bit of their brain to think that a man of such caliber, capable of creating a barrier for the whole fucking country, would be pretty fucking impenetrable smh.

The king didn't know one of his top mages had left?
Not that surprising, but refreshing none the less.

hmm i don't see bad writing just dumb people, even thinking of capturing a "court" magician is wild and torturing/forcing him to activate is barrier again instead of begging
its more than dumb though. trying to be sleek and made one plan but then they have zero backup plans and contingencies. For people with their ranks, an ounce of intelligence would be the least they should have. plus they have no idea where MC is but other countries are already on his tail (frontal tail too)

Knowing MC, he will gladly tell them how to maintain it if they asked though (before betrayal), or if the barrier itself is actually 'permanent'.

But yeah, to make such decision expecting zero consequences is dumb, a preparation of blaming MC for betrayal, preparation for war incase barrier goes down to gain popularity, having a crazy anti-barrier antagonist to fight MC, etc while commonly used in these type of stories is smarter. Even by asking an opinion of second rate barrier magician beforehand would tell them that such a feat is impossible for anyone unless they have 100 mages (or more) ready to rebuild the barrier maybe

why did the shield got mad when they all supported going to the sea country? he was okay with it and they even were gonna get territory for them 🤔🤔 it didn’t need the tsukkomi at all.
more like disappointed i think? they were very gung ho about recruiting him but the moment they were offered a piece of land, they immediately agree on giving up on him

also the plot hole is too much, how come a king doesnt know that the one who responsible for the defense of a country is banished? it's not like he was banished in secret. It was in the middle of engagement party. Engangement party of someone influental enough that even the other country officials know him.

yes, there is even a term for that: "Unwanted Harem"

to be fair, they know they can't offer him a better term than that, so why not taking some benefit for their country instead of a total loss

maybe the king is just the oblivious type (like shonen protagonist is oblivious to love), but if that's the case he's really not fit to rule

you overestimate them too much.
if they even have the brain to think, they wouldn't kick him out in the first place

1. It's hard to accept this fact. LIke i said, he is well known even in the other countries, so obviously he is even famous in his own. Granted on the first chapter the commoners dont seems like they know him, but people who come to the party definitely do. The girl he engaged to is also probably a high ranking noble, from the fact that she could strike a deal with an important figure that report directly to the king. I cant believe that no noble would gossips about this and ended up reaching the king's ear.

2. On page 30, they literally said "the hegemony will be decided based on where the MC live in". Why bother receiving a land when the other country will soon become a country where they can attack you freely yet you cant touch them. I would assume they share borders with each other if Minant can offer land easily, so it would be easy to retake them

gyatt dem those challengers have massive badonkers

also rip that country lol you reap what you sow i guess
it's not even the country, or the kings fault.

Well, sorta the kings fault for allowing his retarded daughter to have too much control.

But like, from what we've been shown, the king evidently values MC, so he'd certainly not want to get rid of him. (I reread chap 1, they lied saying the king new, as we have now found out).

Honestly, I don't even know this kings personality, since it's perfectly reasonable for him to be outraged here, since as far as he knows, a court magician he has treated well, let the barrier fall, and he changes his tune knowing that said magician wasn't there to do anything about it, now being surprised at "wait he's gone? why?".

That being said, since his daughter is like that, I'd assume he's a piece of work, since you tend to learn from your parents. Not always, but most times.

Where they normally still like the person, and not want them out of their lives.

"Entitled Teen" implies not thinking of long term consequences, or how it affects others, and the MC never mentioning upkeep led them, as in the nation as a whole (with a couple exceptions), to believe it was permanent.

That is not a plot hole though.
The other nations know because it was hot news, and their diplomats/spies sent it back.

The crowd thinks the king already knows, as the MC asked and was told the banishment was a Royal order. So why bother informing him.

But, from Shields comments about how he was treated, they likely wanted him gone, and want to forget about him, so why bother.
Well, sorta the kings fault for allowing his retarded daughter to have too much control.
She is not his daughter, but a Dukes daughter who wants to marry the king's son instead.
It's hard to accept this fact. LIke i said, he is well known even in the other countries, so obviously he is even famous in his own.
Known and disliked by the aristocracy, since he was a commoner who achieved greatness.

Plus, they were all told the king ordered it, since banishment like this requires a Royal order.

The head of the court mages should have complained, but the rest of the nobles, they likely want to forget he existed, so why bother mentioning it to the king.

Plus they said that the witnesses were bribed into silence, but spies will still report things, and families will spread the "good news" in private so yhe spies will find out, that would have been needed to be done before the barrier collapse for their origioal plans to work.

You mean the link to the imgur post page? It didn’t work for me

I can’t get a gif direct link either now; imgur gives me a mp4 link instead
