This chapter is really confusing.

I guess in the last panel the enemy ships are supposed to be on fire, and yet they look pretty much intact and not sinking despite allegedly being obliterated by fricking missiles... I mean, cannonballs, and slashed into pieces on two occasions!

The enemy guy just looks like he's battling in the nude.

Having a barrier master that's the strongest and invents a bunch of stupid bullshit unbeatable shields but is totally incapable of using them is really stupid. He can make a barrier where things can go out but not in so he should be able to make one where nothing can go out. Slap that around the enemy fleet let them starve to death. Bam battle over.

Trying to introduce suspense in a series where it's not possible for a reasonably intelligent person to lose due to their power set never works. It always makes the MC look brain damaged. That why series like One Punch Man have the MC somewhere else for most of the events because it's not possible to write a meaningful story when the MC has an instant win button.

Couldn't shield just put a barrier in his neck and expand it until it decapitated him? No reason not to do that from close or afar and just quickly and easily eliminate an enemy (and then make a barrier from the sky crush whatever is left of the place he came from)
