Also going to posit that "not fond of this person because it feels like they took her brother away" may indeed be the reason for her frosty demeanor.

...In that the sibling she spent time with, admires, and relied on suddenly had much less time for her. Even less after he moved out. Which, shockingly to some people, is  normal. You can be jealous of someone getting a family member's attention without being sexually attracted to said family member.

Insert trope from every sitcom ever where the [child] gets jealous because their [parent] seems to prefer [other person and/or relative] in some way. You guys cry incest over those scenes too?

Explain why she is sulking when her brother's (girl)friend is mentioned then?
She just doesn't like the other girl or get along with her. Didn't mum say that she's never been good with cheery people?

Please note that I'm not saying she's not a brocon at all, but she's not 100% brocon with no interest in anybody else, which a lot of people have been saying.

My issue is more that this is not what I signed up for when I started reading this. The title makes it seems that the story is a romance story about an emotionless girl coming out of her shell.

So I assumed her thing with her brother was not gonna be a big deal in the story, and like you, passed it off as just one of her many funny character traits.

But this chaps clearly depicted it as not just a joke to her, her feelings for her brother are the overarching conflict of the story, and is quickly consuming all other plot progress in exchange.
I'm going to have to disagree here.

All I see is a introverted/gloomy shy girl who is becoming more expresssive and getting embarrassed by both family members basically teasing her and finding out about her budding personal interactions outside the home, "misunderstanding" her relationship with a guy. While her not liking his girlfriend? is because she is someone who is bubbly/nosy/pushing themselves to get along with people(we know she had already done so with brother, breaking him out of his shell).(literally the energetic extrovert trying to get along with the reserved introvert, or the puppy that wants to play with the cat that doesnt)

I'm not saying it is impossible that you couldn't end up being right in the end, but right now it is completely normal family dynamic.

I've literally experienced this dynamic with my own family, it's how many families interact.

Thanks for the new chapter!

To think that Sasaki is also acquainted with Tabata's older sister.
I hope that also adds something to this current dynamics they are having.

I dunno what some of the people here have been reading. I'm pretty sure I was reading a chapter where a girl who is introverted except around people she knows really well such as her brother, got flustered and a bit pissed off as she was teased relentlessly by her brother and mom over being close to a boy.

As to this other person we haven't met yet, well, we haven't met her and nothing's been said about her so duh, we don't know what their beef is. Sure, maybe she was a brocon at one time and saw this girl as taking her brother away. Or maybe this person just has a personality that really doesn't work well with her. Maybe they, intentionally or otherwise, did something really bad to her. Maybe she's one of those people who tries to drag you out of your shell by plunging you into horrible embarrassing situations. I expect we'll find out.
We met her just last chapter and her personality is exactly that: relentlessly cheerful and chirpy. Factor in that she's taking away even more of her brother's time and attention (again, not his affection) than college already does and she has plenty of reason not to want much to do with her.

Seriously what story are you reading? She is more expressive around her brother but that's clearly because he's basically her only friend. The fact that you read that as her having feelings for her brother is on you, not the writer
