LEGALLY it IS a Magic Number. Societally it would be frowned upon for them to get together while she's still a JK.Some people ĺike to think 18 is a magic number that changes a person from who they were when they were 17 years and 364 days old.
It apparently was revised in 2022 so that under 18 requires the consent of the parents.Pretty sure the legal age for marriage for female in Japan is 16, are they not?
And we're not speaking legally here. The user up there seemed personally, morally disgruntled by her less-than-18 age.LEGALLY it IS a Magic Number. Societally it would be frowned upon for them to get together while she's still a JK.
There's nothing wrong with someone under 18 having a crush on an adult. That happens all the time all over the world. If it were the other way around, that could be cause for concern. Not sure how I feel about the fact that she's had a crush on him since she was 17. Japan be wilding
Uh the U.S is the exact same dude except it's 21. Also you say "responsibilities" but no one takes those seriously anymore when it comes to voting.Voting on things that affect the entire country? Fine.
Drinking a happy little drink? Verboten!
Such a backwards country.
Being an adult comes with responsibilities, not just privileges.
Well, when it comes to fictional characters, it kind of is. The author types one age for them, thinks they have the maturity of another age (which is often different from the first), and there's one age they act like in the actual story. There's usually no "right" age, and like the premise is, they're fictional anyway.(if someone tries to misread that as "age is just a number", I swear I'm gonna bonk you)

That's actually a good example. Her mental age isn't 10. It's schizophrenic. It depends entirely on whether the story wants her to be mature.Age: 10 (mentally), 17 (biologically)
17 and 364 days old = weirdWhat's wrong with that?
