I would LOVE to say that obviously the only one that does is the saint girl, but sadly I'm sure the civvies do even if their crown prince is an idjit (or is that ijit...).

Indeed. It's not like adventurers normally just stand there and take hits with their super-heavy armor.
And for civilians fearing assassins, it's a godsend.

That actually managed to make me smile. Lilia is cute. This is probably one of the few times I don't mind a misunderstanding going on. As expected with his cardboard personality, he was only puzzled at best about it. No real harm done it seems. Although Lilia will have a real uphill battle to fight if she wants any serious romance with our cardboard protagonist here.

I'm feeling a bit more sorry for the new saintess, she's at least legitimately concerned about her country, unlike that selfish blowhard of a prince. She deserves a better man if she wants to get married, assuming the kingdom doesn't fall into ruin first.
