First, she wasn't in the same attire as the people around her. She had a cross and was just standing at the door. He thought he could talk his way out AND he didn't want to hit a girl.
Once he found out she was an enemy, and dangerous to boot he went all out.

I see 0 problems with that turn of events.

Sariel definitely let Kurono escape considering how easily she shrugged off his attacks. Which also makes alot of sense considering what happens later on. And now, here comes the first of them.

Also i've reread this like 3 times and only now I noticed the White Church got a whole ass destroyer on the port💀
