@GalladeGuy But MC not edgy enough. MC needs more edge to become a demon lord, namesake of the title.

initially the battle goes well (humans being humans in these kinda worlds underestimate the MC and MC and crew manage to kill a bunch pretty easily). They use guns on land troops and Lily (Yandere fairy girl) kills off Pegasus knights. They win the initial battle but it then becomes a war of attrition. Eventually Cross Army breaks through and kills a number of adventurers, but no one we know/care about dies. I think. Until they do, cause that twintail girl whups MC and her comrade kills most of the refugees and adventurers)

Dude should have water cooled the barrel to make it last longer. I guess he used his magic to strenghten it, which might compensate for the low quality steel it's undoubtedly made of, but overheating could still remain a problem. It's going to be more or less stationary anyway, so even a more cumbersome cooling system wouldn't matter. They would have got away with less barrels that way.

Here is an important spoiler regarding future events. Don't read it if you don't want to get spoiled.
The 3 people who meet the 7th Apostle Sariel in chapter 14 are also Apostles. On the left is the 3rd Apostle Mikael, the one in the middle is the 11th Apostle Misa and the one in the right is the 12th Apostle Mariabelle. The 12 Apostle are the strongest forces of the Crusaders.
Each Apostle is the strength of more than 10,000 soldiers of a kings army capable of slaying even a high level dragon in their full strength. Apostle are also way older than they look for example Sariel is more than 50 years old and the 2nd Apostle is more than 200 years old. Some of the apostles are more than 100 years old. Among the hierarchy the top 4 apostles are considered mysterious among themselves.
The 11th Apostle Misa is the Apostle that Kurono hates the most. Kurono’s plan was to fight along with his fellow adventurers the crusaders for seven days at Alsac Village in order to give time for the refugees to escape to Spada. Kurono knew that it is not possible to win the war with just 120 adventurers against an army of more than 15,000 crusaders and his main goal was to only stall the crusaders for a week and then escape to Spada along with the other adventurers. This plan got backfired because of a certain Apostle.
11th Apostle Lord Misa is a mage and is capable of flight magic which is a high level magic spell, thus she was able to pass the adventurers without fighting them and went straight to where the refugees were fleeing. She is responsible for committing a massacre by slaughtering at-least 9,900 refugees while they were escaping from Daidalos kingdom to Spada kingdom. After slaughtering the refugees she then kills all the 100 adventures such as the skeleton guy, the ninja girl and the werewolf named Vulcan and the 3 elven sisters. She is also a fanatic towards the white god and will kill anyone whom she considers a heretic and looks at all demi-humans as demons.
She has a powerful spell in which she can mind controls the werewolf Vulcan and makes him kill his own comrades in a sadistic manner. The she kills Vulcan by making him kill himself by his own sword. Vulcan dies with hatred and malice towards the Apostle Misa which result in his hatred getting transferred in his own weapon becoming a cursed weapon. Later in the future arc Kurono will decide to take Vulcan’s sword for himself which has now become a cursed sword in order to use it to avenge the werewolf’s death in the future.
This war will end in a defeat and the Crusaders will occupy the entire Daidalos territory. Kurono also loses an eye in this arc when he fought the Apostle Number 8 Ai.
Only four adventurers survive this war and reach Spada i.e., Kurono, Lily, Fiona and Simon. Out of the 10,000 refugees who were fleeing only 50 to 100 of them survive and reach Spada.
This is the only arc that is depressing in the end and there is no more depressing arcs after this. In fact after this arc the story gets epic and MC will encounter the Demon King of the ancient era who is now a God and he also gets a new eye from the Demon King which has some secretive power. He will also given him 7 trials which he has to pass in order to get new powers (Blessing) which involves killing a rank 5 monster in each trial. Each of these trials that the MC passes will give him a special power (Blessing) that he has figure out on his own and train himself in order to get even more stronger.

His own sword which had pierced through the heart directly, was still being held on the hilt tightly by the right hand which had been cut off from elbow.
On the roadside was a black worn-out cloth lying down, if the wand modelled with skull was not lying besides it one couldn’t make out it was Morzun. Whether he had taken a lot damage, or whether crushed by something big, from tip of toe to the top of head every bone was pulverised in very small pieces, there was no more the face of skull, it was absolutely impossible to identify him.
The 3 corpses lying on the toppled down trees as though they were leaning, were without a doubt of the 3 elven sisters. To a distant person it would look like three people were joining hands in an horizontal line, in truth their palms were pierced through by arrows, so their hands were forcibly joined together. The three had their heads cut off cleanly, because the three had the same equipments and physique, He couldn’t understand who was whom.]

Only Sariel got defeated and joins Kuronos party from chapter 472+ onwards.
He has not killed any apostles yet. Even after 750 chapters this series is far from over.
But in chapter 691 Kurono, Lily, Fiona nd Sariel met Apostle Misa and the Apostle Mariabella. The fight lasted for eight chapters. He managed to overpower Misa and also butchered her face. Half her face got completely destroyed which made her look ugly. MC also suffered temporary amnesia. Misa specializes in memory manipulation and she tried to erase Kuronos memories completely but only managed to give him temporary amnesia. She ran away form the battle because she realises that she can't beat him anymore.
Kurono got temporarily separated from Lily and Fiona after his fight with Misa. Kurono actually benefited from this amnesia. He forgot that he possessed the divine protection of the Demon King and also his cursed weapons but only remembers that he possess black magic. Kurono also doesn't remember how OP he has become. Due to this from chapter 700+ he trained his black magic further and stopped relying on his OP Divine protection since he has forgotten about those powers.
Kurono comes up with all sort of ideas to improve his magic capabilities, which consist of using Black Magic to emulate the eight magical elements: fire, earth, lightning, ice, wind, water, light and darkness.
One example is Kurono's new ability to "blacken" the air, allowing him to spy on things that are happening far away. In addition, Kurono can now combine all the elements to launch a powerful magical attack, called Zero Cannon. It allows Kurono to launch a black hole and disintegrate his opponents.
He has now advanced his black magic furhter and can now create a Black Hole that Kurono learnt all on his own.
Although no apostles have been killed, Kurono has at least become strong enough to fight an apostle one on one.
