The enemies are humans, powered by the "white goddess" blessing.
Human supremacists, xenophobes and racists, religious zealots.
They kill children, and pregnant women who aren't humans themselves.
And plunder the land while exploiting anything that isn't theirs for their selfish self interests...
It is a sad story, of struggles and personal growth. The MC does not receive an instant OP skill.
He gets stronger, little by little, with each battle won by a wire's chance.
And with each friends made, they are bound to die somehow, making it impossible for our MC to stay and for a genuine attachment with anyone besides his two female companions.
And to add to the struggles, both females are written with conflicting personalities.
The half-fairie is deeply emotionally attached to the MC, making it know from the get-go, that there will be NO harem *(monogamy is the rule here).
And the human mage will continue on the path of killing humans, people of her own species and race, for the good of her partners goals, and the unity of the their world.
I think all in all, this story could only be appreciated by adults past the age of maturity.
Children and teens would lose interest with the amount of death from the ongoing genocide, and the easy picking made the enemies OP status.
Perhaps, that is why this story was axed *(cancelled) ?
[ Because children and teens are the people who actually BUY the comics the most, in order to help editors and artists pay their bills ].
