Do people in the comments really find it so hard to believe that a young girl with her own hormones would have her own sex drive, and would find a young man confidently and competently protecting her attractive? we're in weird times on the internet, but it's always funny how...

It's the classic, girl gets saved from a bad situation and falls in love at first sight with their savior trope. It feels weird because the girl and her father went from literally groveling in fear to the MC at the start of Chapter 5 to completely simping for him by the end.

this here, they were scared from him to go like that... well, they clearly saw him how he acts, and it's probably for them how someone with so much power and unlike his family can be good, pretty much they got suspension bridge effected

TBH, From the dad's pov his action is pretty smart.

MC saved them 2 times already, not to mention he seem decent enough ( atleast from their interraction ), he is from a powerful noble family. Having his daughter marry a nice young noble man is a pretty good deal for both himself and his daughter.

And from the daughter's pov, having a strong, kind, rich, have a good background husband is like a dream come true, not to mention she just get saved by him twice in the same day.

Some people still can't process how the trope goes, its not like its complicated and hard to get, sure its an overused trope but think about how each manga execute the trope, first they hear about some rumors about mc just to see he's a complete opposite of said rumors then the bandits and the Lord in power come tryna fuck the heroine, gets saved not once but twice + giving the father a chance to prosper as a merchant, also take their current world status, a merchants daughter getting saved by a guy of similar age, thats a sure way to get an invitation to her womb

It's overused, but the only real issue is making a merchant's daughter the first wife. That would make for problems in the future with the children.
