I know it's my fault for expecting more from this, but I'm just upset how the situation between Luna and Nao unfolded. I'm leaning more on the side that Nao was in the right by snapping like he did, although he could've been a bit more calm and situationally aware about his confrontation. She got upset and ran off when he rightly pointed out how she was hanging out with the dude more than him, but then she guilts him by saying she came to the inn to hang out with him. What she said and what she has been doing are two different things here, yet the author portrays Nao as being the bad guy of the situation. Granted, the other guy was extremely forward and kept intruding, but Luna and her friends should've put him in his place. "You can hang out with us, but I'm here with him" should be all that was needed to be said without downright denying the dude, and if he didn't abide by those boundaries, just cast him out altogether. They allowed him to keep intruding and engaged with him in a positive way every time he did intrude.
And Nao's perspective is reasonable. Having been in the situation before a multitude of times, it sucks when you go to a place expecting to hang out with your friend, only for that friend to blow you off to hang out with other people that weren't even invited. At least Nao actually confronted Luna when it happened, where I've just left altogether when that has happened and confronted later.
I want preface this saying that Nao, if only he kept his head on straight from the start, should have seen through her constant airheadedness (though whether it's real or faked by her is still up in the air imo). And I mostly stand on the position that no matter what a woman might be perceived to signal, whether by attitude, dress, or otherwise, a man should never make hasty assumptions.
That being said. In this case I really have to agree. As I mentioned, her airheadedness is on full display on here. I don't see what Luna and her friends are seeing in her attitude that is neutral towards the other guy, let alone favored towards Nao. Talk about putting out wrong signals, if there was a physical comparison she was practically blaring air raid sirens that she preferred Kiyoshi. She did interact with Nao and make clear the reason why she was there was for him, but only before they met Kiyoshi. There wasn't a bloody lick of concern for Nao after that, and she even tried to play him further commenting that he was jealous. She knew she was interacting a lot more with someone else, and she knew it was in a way that would make him jealous!
I'm only glad that Nao manned up and put his trust where he should have. But he shouldn't have had to.
On a diferent topic, normally I don't comment on this because it's such a common trope, but while we're talking about what's realistic, this idea that onsen baths changeover the gender admission based on time of day is almost unheard of lol. Very rarely, some onsens changeover daily. Usually it's because one side will have some great feature, like a mountain view or something. But they do it daily, and usually early in the day, so there's no confusion. So it'll be something like Monday for women, Tuesday for men, and so on. To have it change on time of day is just asking for trouble. But that's why this trope exists in manga/anime
No problem, I find it perfectly funny. I was just in the mood to comment on it.
