It's 'your' in this case, unless it's meant to be "Make sure you're happy, Natsumi", but nice cover and lettering etc, all the same.

...relatively normal fashion this time around, I daresay. I like the hat.

Probably mangaplus using unverified AI for their "official translations"

More likely the mangaka trying her hand at English, the Natsumi lettering doesn't look like it was touched by the translators, so I doubt the rest was in kana.

That doesn't make sense either, what would "make your happy" mean?

I was gonna say, nah, they credit the translator all throughout the manga. But then I went back to check the last few chapters and I don't see Mei Amaki's name anywhere anymore.

Maybe you're right, which is fucking sad if true.

Fair. I fear years of Engrish has compromised me. In my head, including the title like this,

"Make your happy Natsumi"

... sounded sensible at first glance. Like you're making a cut out doll.

But I guess it's more related to the old title, "Hope You're Happy, Lemon". "Make You're Happy, Natsumi".

.... .... .... hope you're happy, make you're happy. Yeah, I'm stumped.

I actually went and asked the manga's official translator on one of her socials what was going on, since the name Mei Amaki has appeared nowhere in the translation notes for the past dozen or so chapters. She says she was unfortunately let go from the project after chapter 68, but naturally couldn't go into detail about why.

So, yeah, I think it's probably safe to assume they've moved to machine translating the manga now. There are no translators credited at all anymore, just the company.

They credited translators in today's Chainsaw man, so I guess only the less popular manga are getting screwed.

Should we start writting angry, stern letters?
