For now, kusunoki is the most BORING character. There's nothing really interesting going on with her. SHe's shy, clumsy, silly. And needs a white knight to help her out, which is the MC.
Think about it like this, I don't even see possible things I'd like to discuss with her, what do you even talk about if you're alone with her? As of now she's a blank. That's why she's.... kinda insignificant.

That's why there's all these people who like Hebikawa more. Say what you want but she has character...

But yes Kusunoki will win I imagine. I hope the author can make her more interesting soon...

Kusunoki has clearly a backstory of abuse or something that author is yet to reveal, we know from the tomboy that she changed a lot and she's similar to MC in this way. I do thing author is putting her too much in the back-burner.

Genuinely torn now. In retrospect, I don't think she ever did anything malicious to him ever since they met again. I'm betting my right nut that there's some big misunderstanding that happened between them in the past. Normally, I'd bet my left nut but it's in play right now on another bet.

She did, she cornered him when he was feeling sick and pried, and later basically mocked him for when she learned about his trauma, instead of feeling even a little bit sorry. Also during that talk they clearly explained everything about their past, there is no place for any misunderstanding anymore. The only thing that's in play is her current situation with her creepy step-dad/boyfriend, and maybe her obsession with fakeness of purity.

She was also a bitch to Kusunoki once, and she was shown behaving like shitty queen bee boss to her groupies.
