So we are going to pretend she invited him to get food out of the kindness in her heart, and not just to antagonize the other two? Got it.

She flirted with him to antagonize the other two. She did everything deliberately to get a reaction out of the other two.

She didn't tell her because she was desperately trying to suppress those feelings she had. Did you even read that chapter, or skim it because the snake wasn't in it?

The problem with the "mean girl" appeal is it comes off as those cringe losers who post things like "I want her to step on me" just to feel different, but in reality they would curl up and die the second anything remotely S&M happens.
So? The other two weren’t even planning on hanging out with him until she invited him, neither of are his girlfriends, so why can’t Hebi invite him? If they don’t want Hebi to get reactions out of them, they should confess to Keisuke right now, Kusunoki would even succeed. Hebikawa is moving the plot and characters forward, forcing the other two to act which is why we like her.

But she was right in everything she said, Moe is in love with Keisuke and let Kusunoki know, Kusunoki is also in love with him but didn’t tell her back, Moe trusts Kusunoki about her crush despite her being the biggest rival. And snake is also right about it being very obvious that Kusunoki likes him, every person in their last in Year 1 knew that, Snake figured it out but somehow Moe didn’t? She clearly was trying to ignore it.Telling her now is better for her to actually go on the offensive more.

people like characters who are proactive rather than reactive. And stop projecting on how people would behave in reality, Keisuke can deal with her, so I like them together.

This is a losing battle. Hebikawa has fandom immunity. Unless she literally stabs someone, everything she does will be brushed off as "not that bad." And even if she did stab someone, there would still be people defending her.
“IF” if she does something truly heinous and irredeemable, then we’ll talk, because until now all she is, is a mildly mean girl shit. Read earlier chapter comments when people despised her existence, she grew to have such a large fan base gradually, while Kusunoki lost her fans, maybe Kusunoki would be more popular if she was more interesting and fun to read. There’s nothing about Kusunoki other than generic “wholesome”.

You missed my entire point. She didn't invite him to be nice. She invited him in front of those two to antagonize them. Read my comment before replying please. Also there is a difference between liking a character's contribution to the story and liking a character. I literally said in my first comment I like her contribution to the story, but I don't like her as a character. Again read my comment before replying.

So? Whatever the reason behind the invitation, the other two weren’t interested until she appeared, how is she the villain then? At least she’s proactively moving the plot forward. The other two also only joined because they fell threatened by her not because they suddenly felt like spending time with him? Maybe this will make them stop being so reactive from now on.

You also ignored everything else I said too. Don’t think I didn’t notice.
Um, she's friend with him and not you? Not that difficult a concept.
her tsundere shtick makes her pretend that she doesn’t care about him.

After this chapter snek is best girl. She chews and spits out all that "ignorance" BS in romcom and says things straight to the points instead of acting stupid just to prolong a romcom to another 100+ chapters.
At this point i dont care who wins. i just want snek to destroy all tropes and cliche in common rom com

Honestly separating Kusunoki for Keisuke and putting her in the same class as Hebikawa and Otobe is a brilliant move on the author's part.

The say "absence makes the heart fonder" and Kusunoki has definitely become way too COMFORTABLE with having Keisuke's presence around since they started high school. And this tracks back to her main flaw which is that she is deathly afraid of moving out of her comfort zone shaking up the status quo. But now that they're separated its going to be a push for her to finally take action.

And as I said earlier putting Hebikawa in the same class as the other 2 heroines is brilliant. Whatever your thoughts on snek are, it is undeniable that the plot moves when she is around (which is why she best girl). Hell look how assertive Kusunoki was in telling her off this chapter. Yeah it might seem like baby stuff but for someone like Kusunoki that's huge. Since Kusunoki is too passive and Otobe likes Kusunoki too much, they both need an external force to push them and with her in their class now, that direct antagonism is going to force the both of them to confront truths about themselves and the situation around them that they've been pretending to ignore.

At least Keisuke still has Irie in his class lol
The funny thing about this chapter is that it's done more for the story than some genuine arcs in one go, shame keisuke didn't notice them. But with kusunoki in a volatile state and Moe being naive hebi did what most romance stories hate doing which is forcing the characters know each others feelings.

Also if the author has balls they'd low-key help the friend who always asks to get a girlfriend by having Irie combat the guy and eventually make him realise he could get a girlfriend if he was more sincere. But alas he'll probably stay comic relief.

Ok so you're just stupid then, carry on.
Ahh abdomen instead of actually addressing what I said. Excellent choice of wording. Read my original comment. I clearly said I like what she contributes to the story, but I don't like her character.

Also I find it hilarious the level of mental gymnastics the Snake defense force go through to justify her actions. Hebikawa is an antagonist she is doing nothing but stirring the pot, and somehow she has this fanbase who will rationalize and justify anything she does simply because she is "Interesting". I find serial killers interesting. Am I going to go out if my way to defend them? No, so why is it that you Hebikawa defenders go through such lengths to defend someone with such a garbage personality?

Hebikawa being an antagonist, and somehow getting glazed more than Aizen is honestly the weirdest thing about these comments. I like her contributions to the story, but I hate the glaze and the snake shitposts in every chapters comments section. The biggest defense people have been using is "She has not done much". What is the excuse now? Can't wait for the snake defense force to come up with a new defense mechanism for their weird bully fetish.
You just dumb, boy.
