He's 100% right about not worrying about minor mistakes. Most important thing is to keep the performance going. If you stop, the audience immediately knows something is wrong. If you keep going, there's a good chance they won't even realise a mistake happened, since they (probably) don't know how it's meant to go. Even if they do notice the mistake, it won't stand out much if you just keep going.
