For anyone who slightly know the word, "Morning Glory" is a term use for about 1000 species, so yea, it's kinda hard to know where this is going

That would be likely as we've already seen chocolate, which is also from the South Americas. I would be curious if it's a translation thing in this case due to other root vegetable starches. The Chinese yam also known as naga-imo (which is used in Okonomiyaki in what we see in Manga and animes) is considered medicinal. Or it could be taro root starch.
