This is such a weird way of thinking.... I can't help but see this as a culture of abuse blinding her to the love she's receiving because it isn't like the abuse she's been accustomed to and that has been framed as love in her mind. Generational trauma is terrifying.....

Wait, isn't 25 degree celsius the normal room temperature? Is it because she's sitting right under the fan or something?

maybe, but for me i'm more used to 28-29 degree (in a conditioned room though, can't understand why 28-29 degree outside is hot af)

It's a matter of pride really. Not everyone wants to be doted on, they instead want to relied upon or at the very least be seen as reliable. She's frustrated because in a way, they're not on equal terms with each other. At the very least, she wants to be blamed when she is actually wrong but she feels like she's been given freebies.

I don't think this particular way of her views is correct but I could see where it comes from.

Being angry at someone for being sick and blaming someone for not working when they are physically unable to are forms of abuse. The fact that she pushed herself to the point of nearly passing out and the fact that she wants to be blamed rather than be treated with sympathy and care are products of generational trauma.

I get the feeling of wanting to be seen as competent and wanting to be relied upon, that's not what gets me. What gets me is the normalization of abuse and how this manga is framing this as a totally normal form of longing for affection.... Idk it doesn't ruin the manga for me, I get that it's a part of Japanese work culture, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth unless they address it seriously.

Of course, I don't agree with it. It might not be generational trauma though.
I was the same way in Highschool and everybody who knew me just wanted me to catch break and everytime I just pushed them away. It wasn't the system either, a significant chunk of the faculty also acted with sympathy and care and my classmates were just cruising through their day without a worry.

some people are just like that. You can have the best environment and some people could still develop a bad mindset. but considering this takes place in Japan, the work culture Really doesn't help.

If experience tells me anything, shino really needs to asses what she wants for her efforts and what form of relationship she wants with Utsumi. Considering it seems like she's not in a black company, she has some leeway with her time.

Eh, didn't she want him to blame her for trying to get all of her work done despite being sick? She doesn't want to be forever treated as a junior, always helped and protected. If she makes a mistake, she doesn't want to be understood with words like "It can't be helped, you are new to this". When she worked for the different department for a while, under the misunderstanding that she has got pro skills and was consequently blamed for taking it too easy (not working fast enough), she didn't give up but tried to get better, until she finally managed to sort out the misunderstanding and everybody was impressed and happy after that. Utsumi actually was about to handle it for her, but she insisted she will do it herself. When she did, she felt better about it. Your own achievement tastes much better than if someone else does it for you.

I experience sitting in a room in 24 degree Celsius coz we are taking exam.. I didn't notice it but one of my classmate gave me her sweater... I didn't know why.. until she took me out side and I saw my reflection.. my lips all purple .. so yeah.. 1 degree difference but .. different people have different cold tolerance . It's probably because of over work and stress .

24 C as in 75 F? Like you said different people have different cold tolerance, 24 C is definitely hotter than I prefer. I prefer 20 to 21 C while in shorts and a T-shirt, lol. If I was wearing work attire like they are in 25 C I'd be sweating buckets.

I was definitely confused til I read what you said.
