That one's pretty dumb for sure if you're like 2 weeks into it but in the first couple of days I'd still be skeptical. This one is a pretty common trope when the breakout first starts, but after a while people tend to not have any scruples left - cheap and easy way to demonstrate character development, reallyLike, someone worrying about whether it's legal to break into a vending machine during a zombie apocalypse
IMO I think this is more routine than anything else, it just becomes part of something she "always" did (starting from the time halt) - though I don't have the context for this, so my premise is flawed from the jump xdso she has to break into homes and stores to eat food, but keeps a detailed log of exactly what she owes people, that kind of thing
