You have to go backI know they have to play the marketing game, but it seems so uncharacteristic for this title to try to lure people in with fanservice of kids.
This comment really just shows how the perception of manga and anime has been outgrown by the actual audience base. Shounen/Shoujo genre are supposedly for the age group of adolescence kids, which is the same age these characters are. But since it got to the reading list of adult age readers, they always find everything to be problematic. Its a simple thing but alot of people miss this small detailI know they have to play the marketing game, but it seems so uncharacteristic for this title to try to lure people in with fanservice of kids.

I don't see it quite the same way. I don't think young kids are going to be like "oh wow swimsuit pictures!" That marketing is only effective on somewhat older people, and at that point I feel like the fact that they're so young makes it a little uncomfortable. This comment really just shows how the perception of manga and anime has been outgrown by the actual audience base. While I do agree that its pretty uncharacteristic for this series to have a fanservice extra, the whole 'only effective on somewhat older people' is entirely a false sentiment exactly because you're looking at the lense of an adult. 1990-2010s mangas and anime were unabashedly ecchi and full of fanservice for the adolescence kids cause that was where the money is. As far as I remember, kids in their 14-16 ages were horny af. We just simply eventually outgrew that.I don't see it quite the same way. Plus this just isn't a "sexy character" series--everyone is pretty normal and it's about the comedy and love story. I felt like a really straightforward fanservice move felt inappropriate for this series.
