There's salty cake called a sandwich cake or smörgåstårta in the original language. It's like a layer cake, but it's not sweet, not a dessert but a savoury dish. No berries or fruit, instead meat/fish, tomato, cucumber, etc. No sweet whipped cream but something like mayonnaise. I can't say I'd have ever been a fan of it. I doubt many Japanese have ever heard of it, but I wouldn't really know.
