if this were a serious and dark series i would have expected tougo to accidently have killed an actual angel while he made the paint, thus it took such an amount of magic power from him. alas, this is not one such story. xd

You think if he does a cutout of an outfit or something he could instantly put somebody in it? There are implications to that if he could

He just colorpicked the sky and was severely manadrained immediately, I think manipulating his drawing to directly influence extant objects could be very punishing even if it's doable

Didn't he heal one of them winged horses in an earlier chapter by just drawing it healed? Going by that, I'm pretty sure he could just draw a person wearing the outfit for that to happen.

Curious why the sky paint took so much mana. He once used objects like leaves to make his first colored paints with no problem. He only ever gets severely drained when he does something absurd. The first time he made a small pond, healing missing parts from lots of Pegasi and unicorn, and making a dragon from blood are the only documented incidents I remember.

So it is unusual that something so simple drained him so much.

I kinda expected the color to be a magic color that changes with the time of day to match or something.

Alternatively, maybe it costs more mana with more distance from materials. Or "the color of sky" which is a concept that we precieve, but doesn't physically exist, was too abstract for his magic?:thonk:
