He could draw up an army (given enough time to recover in between) or just portray him crippled and disfigured (he was able to recover lost body parts from Fei before; it can be reasonably assumed it'd also work the other way around).

Oh well, this being the story it is that won't happen and we'll see the Redgards suffer for a while before the old guy gets his retribution.

Tougo could also just draw up a mountain, or a ravine to hinder an attacking army without directly risking their lives. we'll see how this plays out.

meanwhile we have our lovely bird again. maybe he's also a kind of Phoenix? in the last panel it seemed like one of the leaves was burning, so it feels related. also curious if it's just an overpowered, wise, bird, or maybe a divine creature, possibly lord of the forest or something even stronger.

i'm curious whether that white egg will be painted by tougo or whether it will take in his mana to create a different life form. potential new ally incoming, maybe some beastman even?
