I'm all for authors getting what they're due, but buying something I can't read seems like a waste of space and resources.

Also, its up to the authors managers to get these works published in English? What's their office doing if not pushing for English releases?

Japanese authors that know their series are popular on Mangadex should just throw up a donation page.

That isn't an excuse though... We don't have any right either too enjoy it illegally. It is our fault that we couldn't read japanese. The author and its publisher didn't intend either to make it available internationally. Yet, here we are, don't care about those things. Let's not be shameless here.

About donation... Lol those things almost never work. Only good in theory. So, at least, buy the raw.

This manga is published by Kodansha, and Kodansha US accepts publishing suggestions. This is the form, which can be found on their support page.

If scanlation readers 'cannot' buy the manga for whatever reason, the least they can do for the mangaka is to fill out the form to suggest the manga to publishers. I cannot think of any reasons for not being able to do that.
