I was confused because her ex is maybe a year older than the rest of them, and is very much not an adult, given she was at that other school in the same school uniform as those girls peeking in on her at the piano - hence the "pedophile" comment made zero sense to me.
Wait, Was Fuko new at Yuni and Nanase's school? I also don't remember Fuko learning piano either

Fuuko was a transfer student and that poster was talking about Fuuko's Ex, whom is assumed to be a year or 2 ol%er than Fuuko. Fuuko also learned piano at an early age, IIRC...

Either way, the paedopile comment makes no sense. I'm just writing it off to some stupid Gen Alpha being true to type.....

Nanase is so stupid for taking this bitch back man. Everything that's not in total service to Yuni is a fucking betrayal to her. And now she doesn't even like her anymore. All because Nanase dared to have an actual social life and aspirations in her life outside of Yuni. She's definitely not perfect but holy shit Yuni is 100x worse. I hope Yuki burns this shit to the ground to punish everyone invoved for being retarded.
I think something that both you and a lot of people brush over is the fact that these are high schoolers. And high schoolers, when it comes to romance, are kind of dumb.

I think she also probably blames herself instead of Yuni. Thinking it's "I need to do better" instead of "Yuni doesn't love me anymore". A smarter and more emotionally intelligent person would probably realize it's the latter and not the former, but a big reason that Yuni cheated in the first place was because Nanase was just not particularly emotionally intelligent. She thought because she was happy that meant Yuni was happy. Now, it's clear she's now trying to make an effort to make sure Yuni is happy, but it's kind of past the point of no return. But a high schooler who isn't the most emotionally intelligent probably doesn't realize this.

That's a narrow view. People aren't saying Yuni isn't bad. In most case any more even deliberately saying Yuni is wrong to just to be clear, but Nanase is fucking terrible. To begin with breaking up with your first partner is hard. Then Nanase is the most popular girl in the school. Even admired by her seniors on the team. So yeah she took the easy way out. How childish. That phrase is a thing for a reason it's an appropriate way for a child to respond. Especially one as isolated and lonely as Yuni. In short she kind of has taken Yuni hostage she is not near emotionally developed enough to break free from the emotional whirl wind Nanase leaves her trapped in.
I'm interested on this forum alot can you point out a post or two for me that clears Yuni of wrong doing?
...they're both children. Like, you act like this is a whole thing Nanase orchestrated to trap Yuni in this relationship when I just don't think that's the case. What's most likely her thought process is that she didn't prioritize Yuni enough so she's trying to show her more love and be a better girlfriend, however, she doesn't realize that the relationship has passed a point of no return and that Yuni doesn't love her anymore. She thinks she can put the relationship back together by getting better and being a better girlfriend, but doesn't know it's too late for that.

And, to be fair, Yuni hasn't really said anything to go against that and with Nanase being as emotionally intelligent as she is (not very), it makes sense that she'd trust that Yuni still loves her when she picked her over Fuuko. Honestly, I doubt Yuni even chose Nanase for the reasons you listed. I think it was likely a decision motivated by guilt. She knew her relationship with Fuuko was wrong and likely felt a lot of guilt about that. So it obviously makes sense that she'd choose the option that doesn't make her feel bad about herself. And, to address this now, this is easy to notice as an outsider. In Nanase's shoes, there's two reasons she wouldn't notice it. First, this manga has shown us countless times that she is not super emotionally intelligent, but also, when someone chooses you over someone else, is the first thing you do to psychoanalyze why they did it and find out if they were actually lying? No! They said what you wanted to hear, so you're just going to take the W.

So, in short... they're both dumb kids who aren't emotionally developed enough to handle this situation properly. And, honestly, if they were, this manga would've ended in Volume 1.

First I never said Nanase did this on purpose, but that it was a reasonable psychological conclusion that she would feel trapped.
As far as chosing Nanase it seems to me that was the catalyst that made Yuni realize she loved Fuuko imo. Though I'm sure guilt would be a factor in that I think all the expectations and that fact that at that time she was still convinced she loved her. I mean it's her girlfriend and as she said there was no reason to hate her so it only made sense to still love her. In her mind anyways.

From that lens, I agree with you. It's just the fact that you opened it up with "Nanase is fucking terrible" that made me think you were saying she was doing all this on purpose or at least with some degree of intentionality. Saying she's "fucking terrible" is just way more intense then I think she really deserves. She's ignorant and a bad lover, but I wouldn't call her terrible or a bad person. A bad person wouldn't put effort into trying to improve, after all, at least in my opinion.

But yeah, that's where the confusion came from on my end. I just thought that, if you thought she was "fucking terrible", you would have had to have believed some crazy shit about her. As well as the fact you said she has taken Yuni hostage. I get that, in hindsight, you mean she did that unintentionally, but taking someone hostage tends to be a conscious decision in my eyes, so that's why assumed you meant it was intentional.

I get it and in hindsight my xhoice of words may have been a bit strong, but I have strong opinions on the mater and it feels like people are always given Nanase a free pass because Yuni cheated. I don't accuse the cheating, but it really bothers me how so few people recognize the fact that Nanase and Yuki have done there own mis deeds. So sorry for the confusion caused by the strong language.

I absolutely agree. I can't truly blame anyone in the story all that much because they're kids. But that's why I'm hoping something happens to just totally shatter these ties, because none of them are good for each other whatsoever. These people need to live a state away from each other at the very closest.

Yeah I know that's the reason why Yuni cheated, but it's kinda crazy (even with the limited life exp) to expect to be coddled by someone who is very busy, at an important crossroads in their life, and is very open about it. The worst thing Nanase did was not be public with the relationship, which I totally agree with Yuni is fucked up. But other than that all the attention that Yuni was asking for was pretty unrealistic. Especially when she got a call where Nanase told her she would be more busy, then gets heartbroken and makes out with fuuko. Like bitch she just fucking told you what the deal is. At the end of the day Yuni wanted to cheat on her, I think if Fuuko wasn't in the picture and Nanase forgot the anniversary it wouldn't have been that big of a deal. The way Nanase treated her should've been expected and if she wanted to be constantly pampered and given affection she shouldn't have gotten with a trillionaire grindset baller. But again, they're kids so with emotional/relationship knowledge you have to treat them like they have downs syndrome lol

Busy isn't the same ad telling her she no longer cares enough to remember a date they both recognized as the corner stone of there relationship. Plus I feel like people on here have weird thoughts as to what to much attention is. You make it sound like she wants her to move in with her. When she just wants her to remember a date not act like another girl is her girlfriend and show up when she promises too. How is that coddling. I mean I'm not saying Yuni is blameless cheating is clearly bad, but to say Nanase's only fault is not going public is way off. Besides at this point I feel like it's less cheating and more like an open relationship they don't talk about. I mean when Nanase followed Yuni to the nurses office and ran into Fuuko she basically said we're still together want proof and Nanase walked away cause she didn't want to see it. Then on sports day we seen Yuni is still waring the moon she just moved it to a less visible hole and Nanase hasn't seen it. Though it's more likely that once again she doesn't want to see it. Plus she's been emotionally cheating with Yuki since the beginning of volume one.

Bro it was a monthly anniversary text, after she called Yuni saying she would be more busy for the foreseeable future. Yuni gives no empathy to Nanase for being busy and having a life outside of her. Nanase is the normal person, Yuni is the super clingy, self centered weirdo. I feel like Yuni didn't even want Nanase to text her, just so she had more excuses to get closer to Fuuko (the girl who pampers her like a baby, which is what she truly wants). This phenotype of woman is truly demonic. Yuni is the kind of girl that'll drag you down to her level, then dump you, then make you realize you gave up all your goals and dreams for a bum hoe LOL.
Also the Yuki emotional cheating shit is hilarious. Nanase obviously has no feelings towards Yuki, and she doesn't know Yuki has feelings for her (cause she's retarded). She probably could have been more distant with her for Yuni's sake. But that wouldn't have stopped Yuni's inner demon anyways so who cares lmao.
