Ackchyually , the increase in chance of birth defects from a consanguineous marriages (siblings/parent-child) is double of the normal rate (2.5%), thus 5%. Not that high imo
The chance increased greatly if the parents are already a product of a consanguineous marriage. Like if your grandparents are siblings and their son and daughter did the same thing, you are fucked
