This Manga really goes against the mainstream, but I like it that the characters have some depth, they chose the way they want to be, even if that made them lose sth in return.

Theoretically yuu can still be with sato, I mean (s)he doesn’t mind yuu being a dude it seems. He is still that childhood friend and person he went on a date with.

Then again there’s nothing wrong with Yuu preferring to be with a female, nothing to blame, except the „love“.

It would have been a great arc to see them overcome the challenges and still end up together.

Given what comes after this arc I honestly would have liked that ending: that the MC basically has to wait for his best friend to finish their baseball career which will likely take 10 or 15 so that he can be with the female version of her.

I would have gone even 1 step further and have a scout for fashion or something find the MC and say: You have the perfect genes to be the best female model in Japan, neigh Asia, nope the World.

I would have loved to see the MC and his love change genders for jobs. It would be a great callback to a scene we saw in this manga where we saw a family in which the parents changed genders because one was earning more than the other and the other was taking care of the child.

In a mad world, decisions that seem mad to us are should be normal there and this idea of switching gender for a career should be NORMALIZED at this point.
